Andreas Roos was brought in to take over as the chief of M Motorsport from February 1st 2022. Roos brings along with excellent leadership qualities decades of experience in motor racing. He, as a leader, has led a variety of projects successfully throughout his glittering career. The reason behind the selection of Andreas Roos as the head of BMW M Motorsport: 

According to Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, Andreas Roos has acquired vast experience in the field of international Motorsport in senior management positions. According to van Meel, it is what makes Roos a perfect fit to lead BMW M Motorsport. He also made it clear that the involvement of Roos with the group should help them pursue their BMW M4 GT3 and LMDh project successfully. Furthermore, van Meel was also hoping that he was looking forward to collaborating with Roos. 

Andreas Roos expressing his feelings on his new role as head of BMW M Motorsport: 

When asked about his new role as chief of BMW M Motorsport, Roos said he was looking forward to it and grateful to BMW M GmbH for showing so much faith in him. He also stated that he has indeed followed the impact created by BMW M in the world of Motorsport and is eager to help in contributing to the brand’s success on the racetrack shortly.

Parting words from Mike Krack, the now-former head of BMW M Motorsport:  

The decision to move on, says Mike Krack, the ex-chief of BMW M Motorsport, was tough to take. He further admits that he has spent a large part of his career at BMW. As a result, Mike has developed a personal affection for the brand and attachment with his coworkers. Despite the good memories he has created at the BMW M Motorsport, he also had a burning ambition to return to Formula 1 one day. After earning this opportunity to fulfil an old burning desire, Krack would not like to miss it. Finally, he thanked BMW M GmbH for the support showered and wished his successor Andreas Roos all the best.  

 Only time can tell what impact the transition from Mike Krack’s leadership style to Andreas Roos’s leadership style has on a brand like BMW M Motorsport.
