In coming to India via the CBU route, this is the fourth totally electric vehicle from the German automaker. The electric SUV will be available for reservation beginning in October 2023 on the brand's official website.

The iX1's exterior has a nearly square characteristic kidney grille bearing a bold 'I' logo, as well as adaptive LED headlights, blue highlights on the front and rear bumpers, and running boards. Aside than that, the design is identical to that of the ICE variant.

Alpine White, Space Silver, Black Sapphire, and Storm Bay are the four exterior colour options for the electric SUV. Additionally, Veganza Perforated Mocha and Veganza Perforated Oyster upholstery options are available.

But with the 11kW AC charger, it only takes 6.3 hours to fully charge the battery from empty.

The SUV's digital information display is 10.25 inches in size, while the infotainment system's touchscreen is 10.7 inches in size, both of which run on BMW's iDrive operating system. Aluminium "Mesheffect" trim and chrome accents adorn the cabin, which also features a folding rear seatback. The cargo capacity of the SUV is 490 litres.
