The MINI Country Cooper S JCW Shadow Edition is being exported to India in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) form.

The BMW Group Plant in Chennai produces this limited edition version of the Mini Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired for Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). There will only be 24 copies of this edition made.

The highlight of this limited edition sports hatchback is the all-black treatment on its exterior along with melting silver roof and mirror caps. The piano black exterior trim along with a special double matt paint on exterior decals, and subtle elements of the Shadow Edition add a distinctive flair to the car’s overall appearance.

Other visual highlights from the MINI Shadow edition include bonnet scoop decals, front fender decals, side scuttles, door entry sills, roof rails, and Shadow Edition stickers on roof above C-pillars. The hot hatch rolls on 18-inch Grip spoke alloy wheels and John Cooper Works aerodynamics kit.

The SUV's interior remains the same, with silver accents on the dashboard and tan leather seats. The SUV features a panorama sunroof, wireless charging, a Harman Kardon sound system, puddle lamps, ambient lighting, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen. Safety package comprises features like front and passenger airbags, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC),Cornering Brake Control, and Run-flat indicator.

Mini included an automatic tailgate feature in the SUV's back end, and its 450-liter cargo hold can be expanded to 1,390 liters with the rear seats collapsed.

On the engine front, the Shadow Edition, comes with a 2-litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol which is good enough for 176 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. 0-100 kmph is done in just 7.5 seconds and top speed is rated at 225 kmph. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch automatic. Paddle shifters, mounted on the steering wheel, make shifting gears a more interactive experience. Green, Standard, and Sport are the three available driving modes.
