Automobili Lamborghini achieves record-breaking results in 2024 with over €3 billion in revenue and 10,687 cars delivered globally. Discover how the Revuelto, Urus SE, and Temerario are redefining hybrid supercars and luxury SUVs.

Automobili Lamborghini has closed 2024 on a historic high, with record-breaking performance across sales, revenue, and profitability — marking a pivotal year for the iconic Italian marque. Despite macroeconomic headwinds and ongoing volatility in the global automotive industry, the brand headquartered in Sant’Agata Bolognese posted its best-ever results, reinforcing its position among the most profitable players in the global luxury performance space.

In a first for the company, Lamborghini’s revenues surged past the €3 billion milestone, reaching €3.09 billion — a 16.2% increase over 2023. Even more significantly, operating income climbed to €835 million, up 15.5% year-on-year, with a robust operating margin of 27%. These numbers underscore the brand’s financial health and its ability to weather industry-wide disruptions while sustaining high levels of profitability. It also places Lamborghini in rare company, rivalling even long-established names in the global luxury goods sector.

Lamborghini delivered 10,687 vehicles in 2024, reflecting a 5.7% increase over 2023 — and marking the second consecutive year the brand has comfortably crossed the 10,000-unit threshold. The growth trajectory wasn’t limited to one geography. All three key regions — the Americas, EMEA, and APAC — posted positive numbers, speaking to the brand’s balanced global footprint and its evolving appeal beyond traditional markets.

Commenting on the performance, Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO, emphasized Lamborghini’s dual focus: “Evolving the entire product range while continuing to grow — this is how we can summarize another record year for Automobili Lamborghini. Despite the difficulties in the automotive market and the highly competitive climate, we recorded growth in all three macro regions, confirming the global strength of the brand.”

Much of this momentum can be attributed to an aggressive, well-timed product offensive. Over the past 18 months, Lamborghini has executed one of the most significant range overhauls in its history — all without compromising on design, emotion, or performance. First came the Lamborghini Revuelto, the brand’s first V12 HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle), which marries the unmistakable symphony of a naturally aspirated V12 with the instant torque and precision of three electric motors. This electrified flagship not only preserved Lamborghini’s heritage but also pushed the brand into the next chapter of performance innovation.

Following the Revuelto, Lamborghini launched the Urus SE, an evolution of its best-selling Super SUV, introducing hybrid power and an updated design language that better aligns with the brand’s next-gen ethos. The Temerario, revealed during Monterey Car Week in August 2024, capped off the trio of launches with a bold new design and an all-new engine, bringing a fresh but unmistakably Lamborghini character to the super sports coupe category.

Behind this product push is a broader vision — one that blends tradition with technological progress. Lamborghini’s sustained investments in R&D, materials science, and advanced manufacturing have not only enabled the brand to expand its offerings, but also helped improve efficiency and environmental sustainability. Whether it’s perfecting aerodynamics, integrating new lightweight materials, or reimagining the customer customization journey, the brand continues to raise the bar for what a luxury performance car can be in the modern age.

From an ownership perspective, Lamborghini continues to focus on exclusivity, rarity, and long-term value retention — traits that have long made its cars prized by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Limited-run models, extensive personalization options, and the preservation of hand-crafted quality ensure that Lamborghini vehicles remain deeply aspirational in a world increasingly dominated by automation and volume.

Lamborghini’s growth story isn’t limited to products and profits alone. The company has added over 1,000 new employees in the past two years — a 30% increase in headcount — a move that reflects not only increased demand but also an intent to future-proof its operations. Much of this growth has been fueled by the company’s largest-ever investment plan, focused on expanding production capacity, greening the industrial ecosystem, and bringing next-generation technologies into the mainstream of its operations.

Paolo Poma, Managing Director and CFO, reiterated this dual focus on growth and sustainability: “The company continued to grow from both a financial and a business perspective in 2024, confirming similar levels of profitability recorded by the leading global luxury brands. In this challenging context, our goal remains that of achieving sustainable growth from both a financial and environmental point of view.”

Lamborghini’s continued expansion also reinforces its role as a key pillar of the "Made in Italy" movement. With all production based in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the company generates significant economic value both locally and nationally, not just through employment, but also through its contribution to Italy’s global reputation for automotive craftsmanship and performance engineering.

Looking ahead, the brand is gearing up for a new wave of challenges — from tighter emissions regulations to changing customer expectations in the luxury segment. Yet with a completely refreshed lineup, a solid financial foundation, and a clear vision for electrification and sustainability, Lamborghini appears well-positioned to navigate the road ahead.

For enthusiasts, collectors, and those watching the evolution of high-performance automotive brands, Lamborghini’s 2024 performance offers more than just numbers — it signals a brand that’s evolving without diluting what makes it iconic. Whether it’s the unmistakable silhouette of a Revuelto screaming down the Autostrada or the whisper-quiet confidence of a hybrid Urus cruising city streets, Lamborghini seems determined to prove that the future of performance can be as thrilling — and as exclusive — as its past.
