Luxury German automobile brand Mercedes Benz has launched the 'Made in India' S-Class Series with great fanfare. This move to introduce a 'Swadesi' Mercedes car in place of a 'Pardesi' model was initiated by the brand to make it less expensive and more accessible to 'Desi' clients.

In addition, it is also because of the fantastic response to the CBU launch edition of the S-Class that Mercedes Benz felt the need to produce an Indian version. Rolling out of the 'Made in India' Mercedes-Benz S-Class: 

It was from the assembly lines of Mercedes-Benz state-of-the-art production facility in Chakan, Pune, that the 'Made in India' S-Class model was rolled out. The brand promotes this exclusive Indian Mercedes Benz S Class as the 'Best Car in the World'. The primary objective of the German automobile manufacturer in creating this vehicle is to provide you with a driving experience to remember.  

The Mercedes-Benz intention and fascination for bringing innovation in automobile manufacturing: 

The Mercedes Benz 'Made in India' S Class car has been launched to help the brand redefine the automotive luxury segment in the country. Furthermore, this vehicle has been designed using the latest in-car technology and innovation. The brand's objective is to ensure that the driving experience is taken up to the next level. 

Availability of 'Made in India' Mercedes-Benz S Class model: 

The Indian version of the 'Mercedes-Benz' S Class series was launched by Martin Schwenk, Managing Director and CEO, and Piyush Arora, Executive Director, Operations, Mercedes-Benz India. The new car of the luxury automobile brand was rolled out and made available across all Mercedes-Benz franchises in the country.

 Words of value about the Indian Mercedes-Benz S Class:  

According to Martin Schwenk, every generation of S-Class has always set a new standard within the automobile industry. He further adds that it is to create a desirable product high on innovation and technological advancement that this new S-Class made for India is being released. 

He also categorical states that the brand is now focusing on manufacturing S-Class locally simply in response to high demand seen globally.  

Piyush Arora, Executive Director, Operations, Mercedes-Benz India, also commented that producing the New S-Class series on the assembly lines in India is a matter of pride for the entire production team. He also quipped that the development of the 'Made in India' S-Class is symbolic of the brand's progress concerning innovation in automobile production and manufacturing. 

Key features of the 'Made in India' Mercedes-Benz S Class: 

Mercedes-Benz has decided to release a total of 8250 units of the 'Made in India' S-Class. It includes sophisticated systems such as Pre-Safe Plus, Pre-Safe Impulse Side, Active Parking Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Distance Assist Distronic and Attention Assist and Active Brake Assist. It also possesses digital lights that provide the driver with optimal lighting conditions. 

Additional accessories such as Rear Screen Entertainment System (RSES) provide high-class entertainment while on a drive. This S-Series comprises of two models namely, S 350 d and S 450 4MATIC costing Rs 1.57 and Rs 1.62 crore, respectively. 

With the 'Made in India' Mercedes-Benz S-Class all set to be sold, Schwenk believes that this series specially created for the Indian market will continue to attract loyal customers in the future.
