It encourages eco-friendly mobility, which is cleaner and safer than MotoGP is all set to use sustainable fuels in the future. The global platform of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship has decided to launch an era of racing comprising zero-carbon fuels. The primary objective behind this move made by MotoGP is to drastically cut carbon emissions to trigger sustainability and help fight climate change. With the implantation of this strategy involving the use of fuels having zero carbon, the platform is looking to set new sustainability goals for racing as a sport. To know more about MotoGP's plan to use fuel that lets out no carbon emissions, MWTV presents to you this article.

Transition by MotoGP from fossil to non-fossil fuel:

MotoGP intends to move from fossil to non-fossil fuel gradually. As per the plan, by 2024, a minimum of 40% of fuel used shall be non-fossil, and by 2027 100% of fuel used shall be non-fossil by the racing platform international brand. More importantly, MotoGP is also looking to eventually develop and test unconventional fuel of its own. Furthermore, these will be available in petrol pumps on the street for the general public. It, in turn, will ensure that the consumer gets a variety of viable, high-quality, sustainable fuel options available, that too produced by the big global energy companies.

The fuels of the future and the method of creation used by MotoGP:

MotoGP is looking to develop sustainable fuels for the future that can with ease be applicable in a standard internal combustible engine. It could include either the laboratory-created type of oil or a form of oil derived from municipal waste or even non-food biomass. The idea behind such innovation in fuel production is to inspire the stimulation of greenhouse gas emissions and thereby help in the reduction of fossil fuel discharges.

The coming together of MotoGP and IRTA, MSMA, Dorna to produce sustainable fuel:

At the moment, the focus of FIM and the MotoGP platform and other stakeholders such as IRTA, MSMA, Dorna is to bring in a revolution in the world of racing. They intend to do this by using innovative solutions such as generating sustainable fuel regularly to eliminate carbon footprint from every aspect featuring and event occurring in the sport.

MotoGP's and Drona Sports goal in promoting sustainable fuel and future for racing:

FIM President Jorge Viegas claims that this major sporting group wants to show motorcycle manufacturers that riders can enjoy a bike ride in a clean and greenway by endorsing sustainable fuel. He also adds that, by going completely carbon-free by 2027, he seeks to make MotoGP a leader in the evolution of fuel consumption in racing. On the other hand, Carmelo Ezpeleta, the CEO of Drona Sports, says that using unconventional fuels is key to creating a sustainable and eco-friendly future that humanity needs to survive. Hence he has led Drona Sports along with partners MSMA, IRTA to collaborate with FIM MotoGP to produce a non-fossil fuel.

Finally, by collaborating with Drona Sports, MSMA, and IRTA and developing unconventional fuel with them, FIM MotoGP intends to drive forward to bring innovation that positively changes the field of racing forever.
