A yellow Lamborghini Urus recently was driven on the Umling La Pass in the Ladakh region, elevated at an altitude of 19,300 above sea level successfully twice. This feat makes this Lamborghini Urus the only one to have driven on the highest motorable road in India!

In what can only be termed an amazing feat, a yellow Lamborghini Urus recently was driven on the Umling La Pass in the Ladakh region, elevated at an altitude of 19,300 above sea level successfully twice. This incredible achievement of driving the Urus on the highest drivable road in India a couple of weeks ago on the 8th and 9th October. To know more about the super sport utility car Lamborghini Urus, its presence in the Indian market, and its drive on the Umling La Pass, read this article presented by MWTV.

The availability of the Lamborghini Urus in India:

Among the 300 models currently sold by the brand Lamborghini to customers across India thus far is the Urus, a vehicle possessing the sports car efficiency and functionality of an SUV. It was first launched in the country in 2018 and sold at a base price of 3.10 crore. Since then, it has risen in popularity, with 100 units of this luxury car model delivered.

A powerful engine drives Lamborghini Urus:

The Lamborghini Urus has a V8 twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre engine that generates a maximum power output of 650 hp and torque of 850 Nm. Thereby allowing this vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just about 3.6 seconds. The top speed of this automobile is 305 km/h.

The Lamborghini Urus successful drive on a difficult landscape:

The road to Umling La Pass was constructed by the Border Roads Organization or BRO led by Chief Engineer Brigadier DM Purvimath. It was built at an elevated altitude measuring more than the height of the location of the South Base Camp in Nepal. Makes this feat of completing two successful drives in a Lamborghini Urus in a tough landscape under difficult weather conditions (temperatures falling to as low as – 10 degrees) very special indeed. In addition, the presence of thin air and low oxygen levels are factors that make the completion of two successful Lamborghini Urus drives on the highest drivable road in India a true achievement.

More importantly, in 2021 itself, India has seen Lamborghini launching several models such as Urus graphite Huracán EVO RWD Spyder, a clear indication that there is an increasing demand for luxury cars in the country that is only likely to grow bigger.
