Italian luxury sports car brand Lamborghini has made an official statement regarding accelerating the process of decarbonization for a sustainable future.

Italian luxury sports car brand Lamborghini has made an official statement regarding installing biomethane to power its Sant'Agata Bolognese facility. The idea behind this move made by this automobile brand is to produce about four million cubic meters or 65% of the company's current gas requirements. More importantly, the intention is for Lamborghini to reduce carbon emissions from 37% at the moment to about 80%. To let you know more about this Italian luxury vehicle brand's plan to get into decarbonization, MWTV presents this article.

Lamborghini's increased focus on sustainability:

According to Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann Lamborghini is a trailblazer when it comes to sustainability. Since it committed to this concept way back in 2009, this was a period when most companies in the automobile industry were not taking up this issue. Winkelmann further adds that through investments made and implementation of various programs in 2015, the brand finally managed to get the Sant'Agata Bolognese facility CO2 neutral certified. Today, he says that the objective of the Lamborghini is to transform itself from possessing a CO2 neutral site to becoming a CO2 neutral company.

The all-Inclusive approach to sustainability by brand Lamborghini:

To deal with the issue of sustainability, Lamborghini has looked to use a holistic approach. It includes creating a park possessing 10,000 Oak trees and even initiation of bio-monitoring projects with bees. Furthermore, the brand has also constructed one of the largest photovoltaic systems in Emilia-Romagna. In addition, Lamborghini has also recently introduced several sustainable logistics projects. A clear indication that this luxury Italian car brand sees sustainability as a part of its ethical responsibility.

Involvement of Lamborghini in an ambitious sustainability project:

With the vision of Lamborghini being to help create a sustainable world for the future generation, it has engaged itself in a project known as "Direzione Cor Tauri," a name belonging to the brightest star in the Taurus constellation. The objective of this plan that the brand is currently working upon is to create all hybrid products by 2024. More importantly, this scheme is essentially created by Lamborghini, which launches a fourth electric car model by 2030.

With Lamborghini well on its way to accelerating the process of decarbonization, the overall impact of the reduction of carbon emission policies followed by the brand on creating a sustainable future for you, me, and the entire human race remains to be seen.
