Porsche has relaunched their 'Macan' automobile along with a few cosmetic changes. This SUV edition possesses a few key mechanical upgrades. They are now made available in three variants: Macan, Macan S, and Macan GTS. MWTV presents all you need to know about Porsche and their 'Face-lifting' plans for the Macan car edition. 

The magic makeover of the Porsche Macan Interior and Exterior:

In terms of the exterior, the Porsche Macan has been given a very subtle touch-up. It includes a reshaped front grille with a body-coloured inlay, a revised rear diffuser, a new 'Sports Design' exterior mirrors, LED Headlights, and large wheels. Moreover, the interior of the Porsche Macan 2.0 version proves to be a true visual treat. This exclusive edition includes an exquisitely redesigned control stack and centre console to look like the larger and newer Cayenne and Panamera models. The physical buttons located on the central console on both sides of the gear selector are now removed. In place of it comes a touch-sensitive panel possessing illuminated haptic icons. Together with a small gear selector, it makes for a cleaner set-up with less clutter. Furthermore, the GTS Macan model follows tradition and consists of an array of black, sporty trim elements accompanied by a bespoke rear diffuser.   

The new facelifted engine and gearbox of Porsche Macan:  

Under hood, too the Porsche Macan has good a facelift, with the engine now being able to generate 20 hp extra maximum power output at 265 hp. It also has a capacity of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds at a top speed of 232 kmph. The Macan S variant gets a newer and more powerful 2.9 litre V6 unit engine capable of producing 380hp power (26hp more than before). This model is also capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in just under 4.6 seconds. Above all, each of the three Macan variants will possess a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox along with an all-wheel drive.  

Additional accessories of Porsche Macan on offer: 

The Porsche Macan has a 10.9-inch touchscreen display that functions on Porsche's sixth-generation infotainment software platform. It also has options for Apple CarPlay compatibility, Sport Chrono package and air suspension (GTS), and Sport Chrono package and air suspension (GTS). In addition, a host of customized choices are also made available with the SUV. The seat sitting colours can also be altered and personalized according to the client's requirements.  

With the latest sporty luxury SUV's such as Range Rover Velar, BMW X4, and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe also in the market, it remains to be seen as to whether or not Porsche Macan eventually does overcome defeat by beating the competition or not.
